Today has Özata Tersanecilik Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd Sti. and TBS Yard AB signed a MoU to intense and strengthen the co operations between the two companies.
The aim with this cooperation is to help each other in marketing and design of building fast ferries, offshore/wind-farm vessels and other products in composite.
The Izmir Municipality has contracted Özata shipyard to build 15 fast ferries to connect the Izmir bay and the surroundings in a simple and effectively way. TBS Yard AB is the designer of the ferries.
The Özata shipyard was founded in 1990 is now one of the major actors in pioneering projects in Composite in the world. TBS Yard AB, founded in 2011, on the other hand has world leading skills in making products of Advanced Composite Materials (ACM), mainly carbon fibre reinforced plastic. In that way these two company complement each other.
