With the water-jet cutting machine TBS Yard gets both a rational composite manufacturing and subcontracting.
TBS Yard AB has invested in a NC 40150 D, which is one of the largest water-jet cutting machines in the world, with a table top at 4200 x 15500 mm, a cutting surface 2D 3 980 x 15 100 mm and a cutting surface 3D at 3190 x 15,100 mm. The machine is designed to cut 360 degree design and produce key components for industries in marine, aviation, transport, energy and telecommunications.

Water-jet is particularly suitable for composite materials and sandwich structures, because it does not involve any thermal influence on the material. It is an environmentally friendly cutting technique, but without dangerous gases or toxic waste. Just water and sand.
According to Lars Tedehammar expected the new investment result in significant time savings and accuracy.
